OMBAC. The Quins had a slow start against a spirited OMBAC on Saturday as they controlled play for most of the 1st half taking a 13-5 lead into the break. The Quins came out fast in the 2nd half scoring a converted try early on to come within a point and taking the lead shortly after. Ombac took advantage of the strong wind with some pin point kicking from their flyhalf to keep the Quins pinned inside their  half. Ombac capitalized on mistakes to go ahead with two successive tries in the last 15 minutes, the Quins pulled one back and were knocking on the door for the go ahead score when time expired. A tough match to loose. While the whole squad played their hearts out, our loose forwards were especially agressive with some  great work in the loose, turning over posession multiple times and keeping playt moveing forward. Santa Monica. With nothing to loose the Quins were eagre to finish the season on a high note. None of the previous days nerves were visible as the Quins dominated Santa Monica in a brilliant first half display scoring 27 un-answered points. Santa Monica came back hard in the 2nd half and with the wind at their backs fought back into the game to tie the match at 27 each with 4 minutes remaining. The Quins kept the pressure on determined not to give in and scored with seconds remaining on the clock for the go ahead try and the win. Man of the match was center Duncan Forbes whose attacking consistently got over the gain line, and solid defense was certainly felt by the Santa Monica players who tried to run through him.
