Matt Frings, club strength and conditioning coach and player, lends his expertise to the TRU women

For its fourth consecutive year, the TRU High Performance and All Star Program is coming back to Texas, and it's bigger and better than ever.  The All Star program, which will feature the top female rugby players in the TRU, has added a new weapon to its arsenal this year with the announcement that Matt Frings, our very own Strength and Conditioning Coach, will be lending his expertise to the program.

Frings completed his bachelor's degree in Strength and Conditioning in the United Kingdom and has since worked with Professional Rugby League side Wigan Warriors, before setting up a personal training business focusing on sports performance.  He joined the Harlequins in 2018 from National League 2 side Preston Grasshoppers, where he was competing and providing S&C support before moving to the US to marry his wife Becca.

The Dallas tryouts for the TRU All Stars will take place on October 19, with tryouts in Austin and Houston on different dates, and the All Star Challenge is set to kick off in Austin on December 7-8.
