Dallas Harlequins RFC are delighted to announce long-standing player and former USA U19 International, Jimmy Jewison as Scrum Coach for the upcoming 2021 season.

Jewison, a 12-year Harlequin and former Captain of the club, formally takes the role after an initial involvement throughout the 2020 campaign. A Tighthead Prop by trade, but able to play across the front row, Jewison impressed with growing leadership within the group’s recent movement and brings fresh and relevant 'front-line' experience in an area of constant adaptation, but retained significance.

The former USA U19 and USA Select XV, will continue in his existing playing capacity whilst focusing on the technical and cohesive attributes of the Harlequins Scrum, bolstered by new signings and a largely retained unit.

A real figure of the club, his loyalty to the club through multiple tenures & teams can easily be overlooked-he continues to be an outstanding servant to Dallas Harlequins fittingly as the club enters its 50th year. Now dedicating an amount of his experience into the coaching team, Jewison is tasked with command of an area not only he has passion for-but wants to develop a greater one within others.

Aged 32, Jewison still has plenty of impact to provide on the field and is notoriously famed for his unexpected turn of pace and powerful charges. Whilst continuing to offer his experience and skill on the field, he is looking forward to the fresh challenge ahead of him.

I am excited to be joining the Quins in an expanded role this year. I have been a Quin for the last 12 years and I am looking forward to the new opportunity to join the amazing coaching staff that Danny is putting together.

I am relishing the challenge of building on the foundation that was started last year and to help take the Quins to new heights. Born on a Mountain Top
!” Jimmy Jewison.
